Executive Director
Parth is a 4th year medical student at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine and is one the founding executive board members of the organization. Before medical school, he attended UConn where he received a Bachelors of Arts in Political Science and a Bachelors of Science in Molecular and Cell Biology. He has a passionate advocate for destigmatizing the conversation regarding mental health within the medical training process and has served on various roles at MMM including running media production and programming. As the executive director, he hopes to continue expanding the organization across the country. During his free time he enjoys, hiking, running, pickleball, and trying new restaurants with his friends and family.
Chapters Director
Mannat is a junior at the University of Connecticut majoring in Molecular and Cellular Biology and minoring in Healthcare Management and Insurance studies. She is a part of the honors college and the Special Program in Medicine (8-year BS/MD program). She has been a part of Medical Minds Matter since her freshman year serving as a Chapters Taskforce volunteer and eventually the director of the Chapters Taskforce. In her free time, she loves to run and spend time with friends and family.
Programs Director
Kimberly is an Allied Health Sciences major at UConn with a concentration in Public Health. Her interests include preventive mental health care, population-level mental health strategies, and the intersection between public health and behavioral health services. She currently is an intern at Hartford Hospital and am involved with UConn’s ADOPT-HEALTH District, collaborating on initiatives that promote health across communities. In my free time, she love baking as a way to unwind, caring for my dog and two birds, and catching new movies whenever she can.
Financial Director
Maya is a Physiology and Neurobiology senior at the University of Connecticut with a minor in Psychological Sciences. She is passionate about mental health advocacy in medicine, with experience in clinical research on physician burnout and microlearning through my work with the POCUS program at UConn Health. Outside of healthcare, she enjoy sharing Lebanese and fusion recipes through my cooking platform and am working toward launching a blog and cookbook.
