"Everyday feels so overwhelming. It gets difficult to even check my phone because I’ll see all the notifications that I have to respond. The work load never keeps ending and it feels so difficult to keep up with all the time. There’s so many lectures, structures, and Anki cards to memorize. I sometimes wonder how everyone else is able to keep up so easily and be involved in so many extracurricular activities at the same time. The workload alone is already overwhelming for me. I used to want to be involved, and now I just care about making it through the semester without constantly being anxious. The only thing that keeps me going is knowing that I’ll be working to help someone in the hospital one day."
We appreciate the opportunity to share stories like these with our community, with the goal of destigmatizing the struggles faced within the medical field.
