Along with our advocacy efforts at the undergraduate and medical school level through our chapter program, our organization encourages conversations regarding mental health in the medical field through our storytelling projects. The AnonyMed Initiative, Daily Dosage Blog, and Connection is Prevention allow our community to share their stories on a national platform, with a focus on destigmatizing the struggles that many students and professionals face daily.
Please read below to learn more about each of these projects. If you have interest in contributing to our efforts, please share your story here. Contact medicalmindsmatter@gmail.com for more information.
The AnonyMed Initiative serves as a platform for physicians and medical/pre-medical students to share their first-hand perspectives and stories about mental health, with an option to stay anonymous. We hope to change the culture surrounding mental health in medicine through storytelling!
In recognizing that the current culture surrounding mental health may not be conducive to sharing, we hope that ensuring confidentiality may help mitigate that concern for those who may be on the fence.
The Daily Dosage Blog is a blog featuring unique perspectives, opinions, and tips from members of the medical community regarding mental health and wellness in medicine.
Connection is Prevention is an Instagram campaign that humanizes the experiences of those in the medical profession, capturing genuine stories that aim to promote connection among our community during a time of isolation and loneliness.
